Highly Skilled Near-Peer mentors

City Year Sacramento deploys 66 highly skilled AmeriCorps members to serve in seven schools impacting over 4,000 students at Father Keith B. Kenny K-8, Fern Bacon Middle School, Leataata Floyd Elementary, Oak Park Preparatory Academy, Oak Ridge Elementary School, Rosa Parks K-8 School, and Sacramento Charter High School.

When you support City Year, we’ll use your help to put more AmeriCorps members into more schools nationwide – which helps more students and schools succeed. By 2023, we aspire to serve 1 million students per day, in over 1,200 schools nationwide, something that’s only possible with the continued support of our donors and partners.

Big Day of Giving

24 Hours to Give

City Year’s mission is to build democracy through citizen service, civic leadership, and social entrepreneurship. Together, these essential, interconnected and nonpartisan strategies can serve as the civic foundation for a strong, active and responsive democracy. This year, City Year Sacramento’s goal for Big Day of Giving is to raise $15,000 which will allow us to add another yellow jacket to further our mission.
