Data from the 2024 and 2025 school years show that Rhode Island students with the greatest needs benefit most from City Year’s holistic programming. This approach integrates academic and behavioral support delivered by AmeriCorps members, who serve as student success coaches. These coaches focus on improving attendance, behavior, and course performance, helping students get on track and stay on track to graduate high school on time and prepared for postsecondary success.
We are working to address the lack of equitable access to educational opportunities. Our City Year Rhode Island AmeriCorps members partner with teachers and schools to add more support and to help create learning environments where all students can build on their strengths and fully engage in their learning.
