Dieudonne Pierre-board chair

A passionate entrepreneur, Dieudonne inspires to become a voice for the voiceless. Having served with City Year as both a corps member a team leader, she remained motivated to continue #makingbetterhappen in the lives of others. Currently she serves the community by providing personal finance education and support through her financial planning services.

Jasmine Baptiste-Apena

Jasmine graduated from Florida State University in 2017 with a bachelor of science in psychology. She joined the City Year Orlando corps after graduating and loved the experience she had as an AmeriCorps member and team leader. She is now the volunteer engagement coordinator at USTA Florida in Lake Nona.

Sici Canales-Miranda

Sheslie Canales-Miranda (Sici) serves as a staff member for City Year Orlando as an impact manager overseeing the Pine Hills communities’ schools: Meadowbrook Middle School and Evans High School.

As a panelist on Orlando’s very own talk show, The Fix, Hilda uses her platform to push forward critical, progressive dialogue. She is the first American in her family, born to Ugandan immigrants, in Montgomery County, Maryland (right outside of DC). With an upbringing centered around diversity in culture and travel, she is passionate about making exposure to the world accessible to the youth worldwide. Her hobbies include dance, making music, styling photoshoots, and hosting events.

Always a planner and lover of to-do lists, Sasha inevitably found herself amidst planners and doers in the event community. After her undergraduate program, she moved to Orlando from Miami, FL and began her journey to becoming an event professional. Sasha is currently an event coordinator at Universal Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida area.

Shemuwel (Shemy) Russ
City Year Orlando '19

Shemy serves as an after-school counselor with YMCA of Central Florida at Orlando Gifted Academy. In addition to this he works as an overnight stock associate with Ross Dress for Less.

City Year Orlando '19

Tatiana joined the alumni board to help enhance the AmeriCorps member experience so they can better serve the Orlando community. Currently, she continues to service her community as a children’s targeted case manager with Aspire Health Partners.
