Reflecting on the Importance of Belonging and Identity at the 2019 Summer Impact Charger

City Year Milwaukee's Impact staff went to Boston to attend a City Year nation-wide Summer Impact Charger. The three day event centered around the topic of belonging and leadership best practice sharing. Each day participants attended different sessions and assemblies that covered different topics including clover model, strengths finding and learning from alumni leaders. "Through City Year, I was able to develop and hone my leadership abilities to become who I am today. I believe that my ability to maintain flexibility during stressful situations, make sound, objective decisions, speak in front of a crowd, and plan large-scale events all stem from my time at City Year.
