Jasmine and her partner teacher often discuss how and why she chose to become a teacher in Tulsa, OK, and what she knew about its history before coming here with Teach For America. Being born and raised in Tulsa, Jasmine wanted to share her hometown’s history with her teacher. After talking and sharing stories with each other, they decided to take students on a field trip to Black Wall Street.
