Return for a second year
One year just isn’t enough. By returning for a second year of service, you’ll build on the skills and relationships you’ve built in your first year to help ensure that our students continue to benefit from City Year.
Help students and AmeriCorps members thrive in and out of the classroom:
Second-year corps member
Continue to see your students grow and build on the skills you developed as a first-year corps member by directly supporting students in the classroom and being a guide to your teammates as they embark on their first City Year.
Support and coach a team of first-year AmeriCorps members while working closely with your school administrator and partner teachers to help ensure the success of students.
Lead and support a team of first-year AmeriCorps members while continuing your work with students in the classroom (opportunities available in Baton Rouge, Buffalo, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville, New Orleans, New Hampshire and Tulsa.)
Multiyear teacher preparation pipeline, modeled after medical residency training, that creates locally specialized and nationally relevant pathways into the teaching profession (opportunities available in Denver and Boston).
I wanted to have the opportunity in guiding others to have a meaningful year of service while challenging myself as a leader. My passion to giving back and serving students is what brought me back to serve another year and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
