UIW Broadway Campus Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alumni, and staff annual $20,000 tuition scholarships.

All accepted City Year applicants enrolling in UIW’s traditional Broadway campus undergraduate programs will receive an annual $20,000 tuition scholarship. These scholarships are renewable for a maximum of four years (eight semesters) for eligible first-year or transfer incoming students. This scholarship is only available to students enrolling in Broadway campus programs.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alum who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff members employed for at least two years.

UIW Broadway Campus Graduate Scholarship

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alumni, and staff $8,000 tuition scholarships.

All accepted City Year applicants enrolling in UIW’s Broadway campus graduate programs will receive an $8,000 tuition scholarship. This scholarship is split over four semesters, excluding summer semesters. Students are required to maintain continuous fall and spring enrollment; summer enrollment is not required. This scholarship is only available to students enrolling in Broadway campus programs and is not stackable with other scholarships, such as the MBA Scholarship or Graduate Assistantship. Recipients must maintain a cumulative graduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher to remain qualified to continue to receive the scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alum who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff members employed for at least two years.

• UIW will permit admitted students to defer enrollment by one year if they decide to stay with City Year for additional time before starting their studies

To apply for the scholarship

To be considered for either scholarship (undergrad or grad), a verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with the subject line “UIW: City Year verification letter request”. The City Year Alumni Impact Team will verify the service and send the verification letter to UIW.
