Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

25% scholarships

A guaranteed 25% scholarship will be awarded to all qualified City Year applicants toward any Middlebury Institute in-person or online master’s degree program, including joint degree programs.

Applicants must meet Middlebury Institute’s admissions requirements for their degree program of choice.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

• international policy and development
• international trade
• Master of Public Administration in social change
• nonproliferation and terrorism studies
• teaching English to speakers of other languages
• teaching foreign language
• translation and interpretation
• translation and localization management

Joint degree programs

• Bachelor of Arts/Master of Arts degrees
• international policy and development/international trade
• Master of Public Administration/international education management
• Master of Public Administration/international trade
• translation and interpretation/translation and localization management

Online master’s degrees

• international education management
• teaching English to speakers of other languages
• translation and localization management

• Application fee waiver
• Enrollment deferral: a one-year deferral for admitted students who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.
• Segal Education Award match: Middlebury will match the Segal Education Award up to the maximum award of $6,895 per year as a part of your merit or need-based scholarship awards.
