Columbia College offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

40% scholarships

The City Year Scholarship is valued at 40% of tuition annually for up to three qualified City Year AmeriCorps members towards full-time study in an undergraduate degree program or a graduate degree program.

Scholarships are renewable for the duration of the program (for undergraduate, must be either a transfer or first-time freshman student). Students must meet scholarship renewal criteria, including maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better and continued full-time enrollment.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

Partnership benefits will be available to those accepted for Fall 2024 and beyond.

Additional benefits

  • There is no application fee for prospective students who submit the online application.
  • Enrollment deferral: A one-year deferral is available for accepted students who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.
