City Year Tulsa & Reading Partners: 10th Birthday Celebration

Ten years ago, City Year and Reading Partners each came to Tulsa. Over that time, AmeriCorps Members and volunteers have support students by provided additional resources to enhance their educational journey.

Today, we are so excited to celebrate a decade of student success.

We are throwing a party on Saturday, March 9th from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Gathering Place.  There will be lawn games, performances by students and Hot Toast Music Co., fun kid-friendly activities and, of course, cake!

Free Transportation Available

Free bus transportation will be available from hubs in each Tulsa Public Schools district neighborhood. Hubs will run at the following high schools:

• McLain High School (4929 N Peoria Ave)
• Hale High School (6960 E 21st St)
• Webster High School (1919 W 40th St)
• Central High School (3101 W Edison St), pick-up at East entrance
• East Central High School (12150 E 11th St)
• Edison High School (2906 E 41st St)
• Memorial High School (5840 S Hudson Ave)

Families interested in attending the celebration are welcome to access transportation. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers, carts, and lawn chairs must be able to fit into the bus seats and not obstruct the aisle. No food or drinks allowed.

Bus transportation will run continuously from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. from each school to the Williams Lodge at Gathering Place. Last shuttle will leave the Gathering Place Williams Lodge at 4:30 p.m.
