City Year San José Springs into Service, Building Little Libraries in East Palo Alto

On February 21st, City Year AmeriCorps members and community members built fifteen Little Free Libraries to support early childhood literacy. 62% of children report reading more when they visit a Little Free Library. A special thank you to Treasurer Fiona Ma, Iram Jabbar from California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, Drew Henry, Cissy Leung, Theki Chang, Kailani Bowers, Tori Coleman M.S., Nancy Wall and Sander Arts. We look forward to sharing additional photos and stories from this service day as well as highlighting corporate sponsors and volunteers in the upcoming days!
