City Year’s Circle of Champions

City Year San Antonio created our Circle of Champions to support our strategic Five-Year Pandemic Recovery plan. Our Champions are strategic investors who enable us to focus on our goal of ensuring that the students we serve exceed pre-pandemic academic outcomes by the end of the 2026 – 2027 academic year.

What is the Circle of Champions?

Circle of Champions pledge between $1,000 – $100,000 annually for five years (duration of Five-Year Pandemic Recovery Plan). For this reason, the opportunity to join our Circle of Champions is available through December 31, 2023.

Circle members receive annual event sponsorships, a logo or name on our Circle of Champions webpage, additional media mentions, special event invitations, and distinctive name badges. We send regular updates to Champions regarding our progress toward goals and they have the opportunity to join our annual Impact Evaluation to learn and give recommendations to our team.

Investing in the future

These Circle members are strategic investors who have chosen to invest in our Five-Year Pandemic Recovery Plan. This plan outlines key activities and strategic partnerships to help students get back on track post-pandemic. It also defines annual goals for each of the five years to ensure that students exceed pre-pandemic academic outcomes by the end of the 2026 -2027 academic year.

A special thank you to our inaugural members of the Circle of Champions, Gayle and Walter Embrey, Joanne Furtek Cox, Bonnie Reed and Stu Schlossberg, and Marty and Rene Wender for your foresight and commitment to educational equity and creation of workplace pathways in San Antonio!

Students first. Collaboration Always.
