Why did you want to join Care Force: To grow within and to expand my knowledge of City Year, of an organization to which I felt a strong connection to. I also wanted to work with a tight knit team to enact change across the nation. 

 

Why I serve statement: I serve to help support one of the most important institutions in our nation, public education, and to advocate for the voices that are speaking but are not being heard. 

Career/ after CY aspirations: I would like to attend graduate school for my masters in genetic counseling.

Why did you want to join Care Force: To serve outside of the classroom. I wanted to help create better environments in the communities that our students reside in.  

Why I serve statement: I serve to encourage and inspire others to become the leaders that will create a better future for everyone after them. 

Career/ after CY aspirations: Enlist in the Air Force and serve for 4 or 6 years then go back to college to major in Psychology.

Passenger or driver: Driver if it’s just me, but if there’s others I would like to be a passenger. 

Ocean or mountains: Definitely oceans!

Why did you want to join Care Force: To continue to work in City Year outside of the classroom, to create beautiful things, and to travel. 

Why I serve statement: I serve to leave the world better than how I found it.

Why did you want to join Care Force: To continue my service with City Year, they offer so many opportunities to support others and build up communities. I wanted to engage more with community members through physical service. 

 

Why I serve statement: I serve to build upon my service and experience from the previous year, to continue to support others and assist in building up communities, to continue to serve a cause greater than myself and to create positive impacts. 

Career/ after CY aspirations: Go into social work, specifically working with youth.

Why did you want to join Care Force: To pursue my interests in service. I knew I appreciated working with students but wanted to explore civic engagement. 

Why I serve statement: I serve to impact change in our communities and community members through my own passion to serve. 

Career/ after CY aspirations: Public Health 

If you had to read an entire encyclopedia which letter would you choose: Yes because I feel like it is underrated as a letter and I can’t think of too many things that start with Y so I would love to learn more. 

Passenger or driver: Driver 

Ocean or mountains: Mountains, but only because I have a dream where I live in the mountains with a plot of land and a bunch of animals.

Why did you want to join Care Force: To see the community service side of City Year while simultaneously pushing myself to better my leadership and team work in an environment that requires high levels of both skills in order to be successful. 

Why I serve statement: I serve because I believe that everyone should have access to a baseline level of knowledge. I joined City Year to improve and create spaces for people to acquire that knowledge for the sake of a better world. 

Career/ after CY aspirations: As of now I plan to join the Peace Corps to expand my service to an international level. 

If you had to read an entire encyclopedia which letter would you choose: Z because I don’t know very many words that start with Z and it is a very underused letter.

Ocean or mountains: Mountains because they are cool, and I can’t swim.

Why did you want to join Care Force: To be more involved in the community, but also to grow more as an individual and to strengthen my own skills. 

Why I serve statement: I serve to give back to the communities across the country, and to support the growth of youth. I would like to make it easier for kids to come across resources no matter their circumstances.
