The University of Colorado Denver’s School of Public Affairs offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
25% off of tuition will be awarded annually to up to two City Year recipients for the accelerated Master of Public Administration program.
Scholarship recipients must remain in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher) to continue to receive the scholarship in the following semester. If recipients do not complete the accelerated master’s in public administration program in the first 11 months with the cohort, the School of Public Affairs will discontinue the scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded City Year AmeriCorps members or alums who complete at least one term of service or City Year staff employed for at least two years.
Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application.
- Application fee waiver
- Enrollment deferral: a one-year deferral for admitted students who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their program. A student who elects to defer enrollment will have to reapply for the Give-a-Year Scholarship and is not guaranteed a scholarship.
