Why City Year loves Blueprint Schools Network
Founded in 2010, Blueprint Schools Network is a national nonprofit organization that advances academic and life outcomes for students by partnering with states, districts, and schools to plan, implement, and monitor school improvement initiatives. Blueprint’s whole-school improvement is grounded in a framework of five core strategies, derived from research on the key attributes that drive student achievement and close opportunity gaps.
The foundation of the Blueprint Math Fellows Program stems from one of these strategies — providing data-driven, small-group, differentiated instruction — which has consistently demonstrated the most significant gains in student achievement.
The City Year experience is a strong indicator of future success at Blueprint Schools Network. Serving with City Year strengthens an applicant’s candidacy for selection as a Blueprint Fellow.
