University of New Hampshire Department of Education

City Year is proud to partner with the University of New Hampshire's Department of Education, offering 25% tuition scholarships for City Year New Hampshire AmeriCorps members and alums.

The University of New Hampshire’s Department of Education offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

25% scholarships

The minimum annual scholarship amount will be equal to 25% of tuition towards the first year of enrollment in a graduate program through the Department of Education for up to three City Year New Hampshire applicants.

Scholarships are only awarded to City Year New Hampshire AmeriCorps members and alums. The dollar amount depends on the number of City Year New Hampshire applicants admitted to the program.

Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application.

  • Enrollment deferral: a one-year deferral for students admitted to the program who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.

To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship

To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “UNH Dept of Ed: City Year verification letter request” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and dates of service. This letter will be sent to the graduate admissions office and added to your applicant file.
