City Year is proud to partner with Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management, a leading graduate school focused on developing new knowledge and insights in the fields of social policy, health and human services management, offering guaranteed 50% partial-tuition scholarships.

Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

50% scholarships

The Heller School is pleased to offer guaranteed partial-tuition scholarships equal to at least 50% of tuition for all City Year applicants admitted to a qualifying master’s degree program.

Scholarships will be provided in lieu of the Segal Education Award match.

City Year applicants are highly encouraged to apply for Diversity and Inclusion Scholarships—100% tuition scholarships awarded for one of Heller’s master’s degree programs to incoming full-time applicants who demonstrate commitment to the advancement of diversity and inclusion through their academic, professional and/or personal lived experiences.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

The scholarships described above represent the minimum awards; applicants will be considered for additional merit-based aid depending on the academic strength of their application.

To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship

To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “Heller School (specify which program)” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your AmeriCorps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent back to you to upload to the online application.
