Team Care Force
In addition to full-time staff, Care Force has a team of Senior AmeriCorps members who serve on CSX-sponsored Team Care Force based out of City Year HQ in Boston. The main function of this team is to help plan and execute our calendar of service events. When in the office, Team Care Force assists staff members with event document creation, logistical prep and material procurement. When on the road, Team Care Force prepares the projects and tasks that make up each event. During the event day, members of Event Team including Team Care Force typically serve as Project Coordinators (PCs) leading volunteers in safely completing their project tasks.
For a typical event, at least two Team Care Force members are on the Event Team. The Event Team consists of Care Force staff, Team Care Force and often Care Force Reserves.
Care Force Reserves
Care Force Reserves is a program that engages experienced City Year staff, alumni and currently serving AmeriCorps members to run larger/or multi-location events. Over the past three years, 258 Care Force Reserves have assisted on 53 events in 26 cities.
Joining Team Care Force
Every year we are looking for a new diverse team of eight Senior AmeriCorps Members. The Team Care Force application deadlines are the same as all other returning AmeriCorps Member positions within City Year. If you are interested in serving a second year on team Care Force click here.
