Women’s Leadership Luncheon
The Women’s Leadership Luncheon unites women to support the service of City Year AmeriCorps members inside Philadelphia schools while also inspiring women’s empowerment.
This year’s event will bring together a panel of women who are leading and inspiring change in the city of Philadelphia. The year 2020 marks two pivotal turning points in our country’s history: the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women’s constitutional right to vote and the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 which prohibited racial discrimination in voting. Join City Year, Raquel Arredondo, Councilwoman Maria Quiñones Sánchez, Jasmine Sessoms, and Alison Young for a robust conversation on why all women’s voices matter in voting, activism, and civic engagement.
