Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
Heinz College awards all admitted City Year applicants a minimum scholarship of $12,000 per semester (equivalent to roughly 50% of current tuition) for any track of the Master of Science in public policy and management degree program. Scholarship recipients must meet Heinz College’s admission criteria.
Scholarships are awarded City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.
Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application.
- There is no fee to apply.
- Enrollment deferral: a one-year deferral for students admitted to Heinz College who decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting the Master of Science in public policy and management program.
