On September 11th, the CSX Transportation Civic Engagement Team organized a day of service with volunteers from Clark Construction and Starbucks. The 9/11 national day of service was created to commemorate those who lost their lives on 9/11 during their service duties. Together, volunteers transformed the school lobby and entrance hallway at Kramer Middle School in Washington, DC with fresh, bright coats of paint and a mural. The exterior got a facelift, too, with doors and railings receiving new paint in the school’s colors. In four hours, the volunteers donated more than $1,600 in service work to Kramer Middle School. Thank you!
