MLK Day of Service
Join us for a day of service for our community in honor of the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
At City Year, we see Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a “day on.” Each year, City Year Seattle/King County honors the legacy of Dr. King by leading community and corporate volunteers in service to one of our partner schools. This year on Monday, January 16, 2023, our day of service will focus on revitalization projects and a community leaders panel. During this day, volunteers will learn and work together to improve the school campus for faculty, staff, and students, furthering Dr. King’s belief that, “Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”
This event is free for all attendees, with a suggested donation of $25 per registrant. Be sure to dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty/stained and wear closed-toe shoes.
