MLK Day of Service
Join us for a day of service for our community in honor of the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
City Year commemorates the Civil Rights Movement and honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by celebrating MLK’s birthday as a “day on.” In partnership with Seattle Public Schools, City Year Seattle/King County invites you and your family to join our MLK Day of Service that directly contributes to bettering our school communities. We invite you to join us on Monday, January 17th, 2022 to help honor MLK’s vision for our “collective humanity.”
In keeping with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s practices of continuous learning and environmental justice, volunteers will participate in a Virtual Community Summit on Zoom and an in-person Outdoor Community Clean-Up at partner school sites.
This event is free for all attendees, with a suggested donation of $25 per registrant.

“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
We look forward to serving with you!
