You will have the power to GiveBIG on Wednesday, May 10!

The Seattle Foundation has been a leader in harnessing our city’s philanthropic spirit through GiveBIG, a 24-hour online giving campaign. City Year Seattle is proud to participate in GiveBIG again this year.

We are proud to announce that City Year Seattle has $15,000 matching dollars from several generous donors!  We appreciate all gifts, large and small, to reach this inspiring challenge: your gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

You will help support the in-school programming City Year AmeriCorps members provide each day. Your gifts will also support after school programming at eight City Year elementary schools and two middle schools in Seattle. Our programming is designed for each partner school and is completely free for students and families.

  • $5,000 underwrites 150 hours of direct tutoring in Math or English Language Arts for students in need of support
  • $2500 provides a City Year AmeriCorps member with the ongoing training and development they need to be effective tutors, mentors and role-models during their year of service
  • $1,000 supports one middle-school student in their social and emotional health, learning and development throughout the school year
  • $500 sponsors five elementary students to attend a one-week City Year Spring Break camp
  • $250 underwrites one day of service at an elementary or middle school for one City Year AmeriCorps members
  • $100 provides materials and supplies for City Year’s after school programs
