City Year Bay Area Celebrates at the 49ers Foundation’s Annual Players for a Purpose Event
City Year Bay Area had the honor of participating in the 49ers Foundation’s Annual Kickoff: Players for a Purpose event at Levi’s Stadium—a fantastic event for a great cause! This incredible evening brought together community leaders, 49ers players, and dedicated partners to celebrate a shared mission of uplifting Bay Area youth.
Guests who visited our booth joined in hands-on activities that reflected the heart of our work: packing backpacks with essential school supplies for East Palo Alto students, signing inspiration boards with words of encouragement, and learning more about City Year’s impact in local schools.
As a legacy beneficiary of the 49ers Foundation, we are deeply grateful to be part of their commitment to educating and empowering youth across the Bay Area—and beyond. We were also thrilled to connect with 49ers legends Steve Bono and Bryant Young, along with team owners Jena and Mara York, who stopped by to sign our board and show their support.
Events like this remind us of the power of partnership—when we come together, we can create lasting impact for students, schools, and communities. A huge thank-you to the 49ers Foundation for their continued support and congratulations for raising a record breaking $1.4M for youth education and wellness programming!
