Each December, City Year partners with NVIDIA to organize a community project at a local school in the San Jose area.  This annual project, known as Project Inspire, was held this year from December 4-5 on the campuses of Painter Elementary and Sheppard Middle schools.  Over those two days, the two campuses were swarmed by over 1,500 volunteers: over 100 murals were painted (ranging from grey scales of inspirational leaders to "college bound" murals), one garden was formed, and two outdoor classrooms were built.  Even though Project Inspire is organized by City Year and NVIDIA, it has truly become a community event with not only City Year and NVIDIA employees volunteering their time, but also friends, family, and past City Year members.
