Our school campuses engage in annual Legacy Projects, enhancing our school campuses with murals, landscaping, and other sustainable projects year after year. Legacy Projects will occur throughout the school year in partnership with our seven SAISD campuses.

Kingdom for Kids Playground Build

Kingdom for Kids XIX Recap: November 2018

City Year and the Rotary Club of San Antonio partnered to expand the playground and schoolyard activity centers at Sarah King Elementary School in the San Antonio Independent School District. 

Kingdom for Kids XVIII Recap: December 2nd, 2017 

Between December 1st and 2nd, 2017, City Year San Antonio continued our partnership with the San Antonio Downtown Rotary Club for the Kingdom for Kids Playground Build XVIII. This year, our service recipient was the Advanced Learning Academy in downtown San Antonio. The build included the installation of new traditional and sensory learning playgrounds, murals, landscaping, and more physical service options, along with a kids activity fair centered on college and career readiness.

AmeriCorps Post-Hurricane Harvey Community Support

In September 2017, the OneStar Foundation, the AmeriCorps state commission in Texas, deployed AmeriCorps members from multiple programs to support hurricane relief. City Year San Antonio's corps helped organize a warehouse of donated supplies to they could be easily distributed to people and communities in need.
