Ripples of Hope 2021
Join us for a virtual celebration of service in Sacramento
Each spring, City Year Sacramento hosts a premier event uniting community leaders, citizen supporters, and service champions to support and honor the work of City Year AmeriCorps members who dedicate themselves to a year of service in Sacramento schools. While we will not come together this year, we ask you to join together with other community-minded organizations and collectively sponsor a team of City Year AmeriCorps members. What in the past might have been a simple gala sponsorship or ticket purchase, will this year be a larger initiative to fill a team of ten “Yellow Jackets” to serve as the Community Team for the 2021/22 school year. In turn, your contribution will be recognized at our virtual Ripples of Hope Celebration on April 13, 2021, and throughout the school year. This is an investment in the 3,200 students we serve at our six partner schools and an opportunity for your commitment to be recognized far beyond a single event.
During the 2021 Ripples of Hope Virtual Celebration, we will honor Trish Rodriguez, SVP at Kaiser Permanente, as the first recipient of the City Year Doris Matsui Spirit of Service Award. We will also be launching the Community Team, highlighting all of the sponsors who helped make this happen, and share inspirational stories of service from the virtual classroom.
