In 2014, City Year Providence saw exciting growth and change. We entered a new partnership with Carl G. Lauro Elementary School--Providence's largest elementary school with more than 1000 students. We also expanded our AmeriCorps team to 50 members and were recognized by the Providence Business News as the recipient of their Business Excellence Award for Excellence at a Non Profit. We also welcomed new champions to our board: David C. Colli of Cox Communications,   Mike Hudson of Blue Cross Blue Shield RI, Denise Jenkins of United Providence, Lou Mercado of CVS Health, Andy Mudra of Amica and  Betsy Shimberg, of Brown University.

As the holiday season comes to an end, we look back on our year and see all the wonderful accomplishments we have made with the help of our school partners, AmeriCorps members and, most importantly, you--our unwavering champions!

End the year on a high note and read our best blog posts of 2014:
