BOSTON, MA (April 17, 2016) – Larry Neiterman, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, has been named to the National Board of Trustees for City Year, the national education organization that unites young people for a year of service in high-need schools. Neiterman, a longstanding supporter of City Year, served on the board of City Year Boston from 2007 through 2015.

“Larry Neiterman is an outstanding leader and we are very pleased to welcome him to City Year’s national Board of Trustees,” said National Board Chair Jonathan Lavine. “Deloitte’s long-standing support for City Year—including the exceptional pro bono services it provides—has had an enormous impact on the organization, and Larry will bring valuable insight and experience to City Year’s work.”

Neiterman is the Chief Operating Officer for Deloitte’s U.S. consulting practice. He has been with Deloitte for more than 33 years and ran its Life Sciences & Health Care practice for 10 years. His personal areas of focus include: strategic planning, mergers and merger integration, and operations consulting. His client-service efforts have been directed at many of the practice’s most significant life sciences and health care clients.

“Larry brings to the board an extraordinarily valuable combination of deep knowledge and experience in organizational excellence, passion for and commitment to improving educational outcomes, and a history of leadership in his professional and volunteer capacities,” said City Year CEO and Co-Founder Michael Brown. “We are grateful for his exemplary service to City Year Boston and are delighted that he will continue to help advance the organization as a member of the City Year, Inc. Board of Trustees.”

“City Year AmeriCorps members are doing important work in schools across the country, and I am privileged to join the National City Year Board of Trustees,” said Neiterman. “I look forward to continuing to be a part of Deloitte’s ongoing support to help City Year build the capacities needed to design, build and scale its work in schools nationwide.”
