Our hard work in Philadelphia has paid off. Our last full academic year resulted in the following:
90% of partner teachers were satisfied with the overall impact of City Year Philadelphia on their class and with their students.1
100% of school administrators agreed that City Year AmeriCorps members work well with their teachers and staff.2
City Year Philadelphia AmeriCorps members gave individualized math support to over 1,400 students, moving 62% of students with a D or F in math to a C or better.
City Year AmeriCorps members gave individualized reading support to nearly 1,500 students, moving 64% of students with a D or F in English to a C or better.
More than 2,400 students benefited from before and after school programming with City Year Philadelphia.
100% of school administrators agreed that City Year Philadelphia after-school programs foster a positive learning environment.3
