Dave Rosenblum is the Photo/Video Production Specialist at Philadelphia International Airport. In this role, he is responsible for all video and photo content creation for PHL Airport. Previously, Dave worked in the Hollywood industry in Los Angeles, CA for 8 years. Dave graduated from Central High School of Philadelphia before earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware and his MFA at Boston University. Between his two degrees, Dave served in the City Year Philadelphia corps in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
Born and Raised in Los Angeles, David moved to Philadelphia in 2013 to begin his City Year Service. He served two years (2013-2014) (2014-2015) as a CYP Corps Member. Upon his graduation, David continued his service and joined the CYP alumni board in 2016. Today he serves as the CYP Alumni Board Vice Chair. In addition to his CYP service, David has served as the Volunteer and Event Coordinator for Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Community Outreach Manager for the Philadelphia School Partnership. He currently works for the City of Philadelphia as a coordinator for the City’s Philly Reading Coaches program.
Jamie Comfort Atkins served at City Year Philadelphia from 2007-2014 as a corps member and staff member. After City Year, Jamie earned her M.Ed. at Temple University and taught 6th grade in southwest Philadelphia. She is now the Director of the New Directions Program at the Charles A. Melton Center in West Chester, PA.
Cristina Bernal is originally from Yardley, PA but currently lives in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. She served with City Year Philadelphia as an AmeriCorps Member (2012-2013) and Team Leader (2013-2014). She continued her service as the City Year Philadelphia Evaluation Manager from 2014-2017. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College.
Phil Brooks is a native of West Philadelphia and attended Girard College High School. He then attended American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts where he received his B.S. in Biology. Returning to Philadelphia he joined the education based AmeriCorps program City Year Philadelphia where he served as a Senior Program Manager and led over 200 18-24 year old young adults in full time volunteer service. After a 10 year commitment to City Year, he joined the Mayor’s Office of Education as the US2020 Program Manager of STEM Initiatives. Later, his work transitioned to the Commerce Department's Talent Development Unit and finally to the Office of Workforce Development where he oversaw the City of Philadelphia's citywide STEM Initiative that engaged, connected and convened citizens in the region. He is now the Director of STEM Workforce Partnerships for the University City Science Center and is tasked with connecting and building partnerships with STEM employers to ensure job placement of West Philadelphia residents.
Andrea Foster is currently a Program Manager at The Franklin Institute. She is excited to serve on the Alumni Board because of how instrumental City Year was in her personal and professional growth.
Stuart is born and raised in Philadelphia.
He attended Washington & Jefferson College.
Stuart served with City Year Philadelphia 2012 – 2014 as a Corps Member & Team Leader. He currently works at Vanguard in Personal Advisor Services as a Business Project Coordinator.
Cassidy Leighton’s passions for education and building community have driven each step on her professional path. After serving with City Year Philadelphia, she worked on the development team at an education nonprofit before joining the headquarters staff team at City Year as the Digital Marketing Manager of Automation.
Rachel Lovelidge is a Kindergarten Specials Area Teacher at Phoenixville Area School District, teaching Music & Movement and Theatre & Dance. Following her corps year with City Year Philadelphia ('13-'14), Rachel worked as a teacher in Philadelphia for five years. Rachel has her MA in Education from Rosemont College and a BA from Gettysburg College. She is currently working towards her Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness graduate certificate at Messiah College.
Kelly McGeehan is a Corporate Strategy Analyst for The Vanguard Group. In this role, Kelly works with leaders throughout Vanguard to explore key issues confronting Vanguard, creating strategies and solutions to mitigate against risks or capitalize on opportunities. She serves on City Year Philadelphia’s board to continue to combat educational inequities and ensure that City Year corps members have an enriching experience.
