According to the Everyone Graduates Center, schools that engage in efforts to strengthen students’ connection to learning by supporting social-emotional skills, enhance academic benefits. As we know, a mentor can empower, guide, or unlock a mentee’s potential. The many school district staff, administrators, schoolteachers, City Year Philadelphia staff and AmeriCorps members provide the environment for students to realize this potential.
