On Friday, September 27, 2013, 44 young leaders - called corps members - pledged to make a difference in the schools and neighborhoods of Little Rock. These diverse young leaders of the Little Rock/North Little Rock 2013-2014 corps joined family, friends, civic leaders and community supporters on City Year's Opening Day at J.A. Fair High School, sponsored by Comcast | NBCUniversal and Baptist Health.

City Year Little Rock/North Little Rock's new corps members joined nearly 2,000 other diverse 17-24 year olds in 23 communities across America who were sworn in as City Year corps members that day. Corps members commit themselves to a year of full-time service in Little Rock's schools and communities. In Little Rock this year, City Year corps members will work as tutors, mentors and role models to make a difference in the lives of more than 575 children.
