This Martin Luther King, Jr’s Day, City Year Los Angeles came together as a beloved community to honor Dr. King’s legacy by transforming the city of Los Angeles’ first public school, Los Angeles High School, which was built in 1873. City Year Los Angeles’ MLK Day of Service, sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, shines a spotlight on service as a powerful force to bridge social divides and to improve educational opportunities for students across the country.
