One in five students will drop out of LAUSD before they ever receive a high school diploma. This dropout problem is called a crisis for good reason – it poses a real and urgent risk to our criminal justice system, our workforce, and our economy overall. But the good news is it’s entirely preventable.
Now you can do your part.
Today, public voting opened for this year's LA2050 Grants Challenge, where City Year Los Angeles and Partnership for LA Schools will compete against 59 other non-profits for $100,000 to support our work at two of L.A.’s most historically challenged schools, Jordan and Roosevelt High Schools. These are schools where kids are far more likely to drop out than get a high school diploma.
With your help, City Year L.A. and PLAS will expand our work to help the most at-risk kids get back on track to graduation.
All we need from you is 5 minutes.
