On Thursday, June 8th, City Year L.A. concluded a historic year of service by graduating its 10th Anniversary Corps. At the beginning of the school year, nearly 300 college and high school graduates pledged to provide excellent service to the students of Los Angeles. With open hearts and minds, they each completed upwards of 1,700 hours of service to make a difference in the lives of the students and communities they served. If asked, each AmeriCorps member could share personal stories about how they know they made a difference, in big and small ways, both in and out of the classroom.
