On April 25, City Year Los Angeles teamed up with Time Warner Cable to host “Money Math Madness,” a math carnival at Virgil Middle School in Los Angeles.  We were joined by the Bresee Foundation and A World Fit For Kids! At the carnival, middle school students were given an opportunity to practice math vocabulary and problems, work their times tables, calculate force and speed, and learn how to budget and make estimates.

“Money Math Madness” would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsor, Time Warner Cable. Through their

on-going Connect a Million Minds initiative, Time Warner Cable partners with organizations like City Year to inspire middle school students to get involved in extra-circular Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning opportunities.
