Audra Clark

Vice President & Executive Director for City Year Kansas City

Audra Clark serves as the executive director of City Year Kansas City. In this role, Audra maintains strategic relationships with Kansas City public schools, City Year Kansas City’s board, corporate and philanthropic partners and the wider Kansas City community.

Audra Clark is the founding executive director of City Year Kansas City. Audra’s nonprofit career began with a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA in San Antonio, Texas. She then joined City Year Washington D.C. as a staff member in the fundraising department. For 11 years, Audra held many fundraising positions with City Year Washington D.C., including serving four years as the development director. In that role, she was responsible for all areas of fundraising for a $5 million budget and helped the site triple in size from 55 to 160 AmeriCorps members.

When City Year launched in Kansas City in July 2015, Audra was humbled to have the opportunity to lead the effort to establish City Year in her hometown. City Year Kansas City started with a pilot phase during the 2015-2016 school year with 16 AmeriCorps members serving 1,100 students at 2 schools. Results have been so promising that City Year Kansas City has more than quadrupled in size and now has 66 AmeriCorps members serving 4,000 students at 7 Kansas City public schools. Audra has a Bachelor of Arts in communication and business administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University, where she concentrated in nonprofit management. Audra is a member of the 2020 class of the Greater Kansas City Chamber’s Centurions Leadership Program. Audra and her husband, Bryan, are proud parents of three little girls.

These talented and dedicated professionals support the success of our students and develop our AmeriCorps members as leaders.
