City Year Kansas City’s Idealist Gala

City Year’s annual gala is a celebration of our students, AmeriCorps members and community members who challenge cynicism and inspire others into action. Ranging from $2,500-$25,000, all event sponsorships support City Year Kansas City’s critical work in schools, ensuring the 4,000 students we serve have the support they need to thrive, in and out of the classroom.

The Idealist Gala honors individuals who, like our AmeriCorps members, embody the spirit of idealism by giving the Idealist of the Year Awards to individuals who are making a difference in the life of one person, an organization or an entire community. All sponsors at the Silver Level and above can honor an Idealist from their organization, who will be publicly recognized during the event.

If you are joining us for the event, please see the following information to help plan for your attendance.

Parking: please park in lot M (see map) on the north side of the stadium and enter the Founders Plaza doors to access the North Club.

Dress: business attire and consider wearing City Year colors (which happen to be Chiefs colors too!) – red, yellow, white and black
