New this year, we will be matching all 100 City Year AmeriCorps members with a professional mentor. Our AmeriCorps members are committing to a rigorous ten-month program of service, reflection, and personal and professional growth. Our service partners, staff, and now for the first time in Jacksonville, the larger community will stand by their side to ensure they are successful this year.  

In order to make this a reality, we are excited to announce the launch of theWomen's Mentoring Initiative. The goal of the program is to pair successful woman across North Florida's nonprofit, corporate, and education sectors with City Year Jacksonville AmeriCorps members. Together the mentor and AmeriCorps members will reflect on the skills and knowledge gained through service, and serve as an advocate and catalyst to our AmeriCorps members Leadership after City Year (LACY) planning. 

In addition we will be expanding our City Year-Deloitte mentoring program. In the pilot year, we paired Deloitte professionals one-to-one with a City Year AmeriCorps team leader for a six-month professional development program. It was a great success and this year we will be expanding the program to stretch ten-months long and pair our 11 City Year AmeriCorps second-year members. We are incredibly grateful of our friends at Deloitte for supporting our work and investing in the professional development of our AmeriCorps members.
