The gateway city of Florida

City Information

Jacksonville is the largest city by land mass in the continental US with several Fortune 500 companies and a very young work force. A small town vibe in a big city, Jacksonville has everything from hip, urban areas to beaches. Jacksonville has a growing arts scene with museums including the MOSH, the Cummer, and MOCA.

Average rental cost for AmeriCorps members living with roommates is $300-$500/month. AmeriCorps members typically live in large, historic homes in Springfield, Murray Hill, and Riverside.

Jacksonville is extremely spread out. AmeriCorps members with cars are highly encouraged to bring them. Otherwise, many AmeriCorps members carpool with teammates.
