Be Present, Be Open, Build the Beloved Community
Meet our 75 Mentors who have committed to mentor one of our 75 AmeriCorps members through their 11 months of service with City Year Denver! We feel fortunate to have mentors who come from all professional backgrounds and walks of life.
At City Year Denver, we have 15 full-time staff and 2 Regional Recruitment and Admissions Managers who are stationed in Denver. Along with our full-time staff, we have 2 Master of Social Work interns who directly support our AmeriCorps members through their year of service (not listed). During the 2017-2018 school year, 75 AmeriCorps members who are 18-24 years old will be serving in 8 Denver Public Schools that City Year has partnered with. Click here to meet these individuals on their school's teams. At each school, we have one Impact Manager who oversees our AmeriCorps members and school partnerships. City Year Denver works to build partnerships with individuals, companies and organizations. We find it most beneficial to get individuals or groups on School Tours initially to see hands on the work our AmeriCorps members are doing in the 3rd-9th grade classes. Throughout the year we host City Year Denver events. Please contact Tracy Valentine (email@example.com), Managing Director of Development, for more information. Throughout the year, we hold opportunities for individuals or companies to provide donations. At City Year Denver, our 2017-2018 fundraising goal is $1.7m. We partner with Colorado Gives Day, which is on Giving Tuesday December 5th. By donating on December, Community First Bank provides a match of all donations.
City Year Denver has an Online Giving page to receive donations from our partners. We also participate in the Colorado Certification of Qualified Enterprise Zone Contribution. By completing this form, any donation at or above $250.00 will receive a 25% tax credit.
