DC students have lost nearly 6 months of learning during this pandemic. Education advocates are calling for high dosage tutoring in math and English Language Arts to catch students up and get them back on track for success.
This year, City Year DC’s 151 AmeriCorps members have provided high dosage tutoring and mentorship to over 5,500 DC students. Requests for City Year’s services have increased by 70%, with over a dozen new schools interested.
Our goal is to raise enough funds, $200,000, to fund 20 AmeriCorps members at least 2 schools who can provide 600 additional students with high dosage tutoring!
