City Year Brought a Whole New Meaning for Me This Thanksgiving 2017
This year, the holidays will feel a little bit different. There will be no major changes at home - my family will still be the same - and there will still be two turkeys: one baked and one fried. There will still be the mix of Haitian and African-American culture as the accents collide and the dishes follow the same trend. However, there will be one significant difference this year compared to others. This year, I am serving as an AmeriCorps member.

Reflecting on October: LGBTQ+ History Month
City Year is committed to Social Justice for All, a value which represents the deepest beliefs and highest aspirations of our organization. Every day we dedicate ourselves to building a more just, equal and compassionate world. For each of us, this devotion to social justice looks different and reflects our own beliefs and experiences.
