Measured Success

City Year Dallas launched in early 2015 on five campuses in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) and is expected to positively impact close to 4,000 students.

City Year corps members will work alongside talented teachers, administrators and other professionals to help improve student attendance, behavior and course performance. Research shows these indicators predict a student’s likelihood of graduating from high school.  City Year provides a holistic portfolio of researched-based academic interventions, extended learning programs, and activities that foster a school-wide climate of achievement.

Over the course of this year, we will measure our success in the following areas:

Improved academics

Teachers that state corps members improved their students’ overall academic performance.

Better grades

Students who improved by one grade level or better

Better behavior

Teachers that state corps members created an effective, positive learning environment in their classrooms.
