City Year leverages powerful collaborations to extend its impact for its students and AmeriCorps members:


City Year Since 1994, ServeOhio has supported hundreds of community-based organizations that are engaging local citizens to address their most pressing needs. ServeOhio administers Ohio AmeriCorps program and awards grants for National Days of Service. 

Cleveland Metropolitan School District 

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District envisions 21st Century Schools of Choice where students will be challenged with a rigorous curriculum that considers the individual learning styles, program preferences and academic capabilities of each student while utilizing the highest quality professional educators, administrators and support staff available.

A City Year national sponsor, in Cleveland Deloitte employee lead trainings and take part in AmeriCorps members’ leadership development days, and mentor senior  AmeriCorps members.

The Higher Education Compact of Greater Cleveland

City Year is a Compact Partner with Northeast Ohio area colleges and universities, local government and numerous other education nonprofits to advance college attainment and retention for Cleveland’s youth.

The Slavic Village P-16 Initiative

City Year is an active member supporting P-16’s goals to remove barriers to education and promote educational excellence and involved parents. As a presence in Slavic Village at Mound STEM Elementary and John Adams High School, City Year also performs service projects with Slavic Village Development, Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, and over 20 other neighborhood partners.

The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood Initiative

City Year is a “Promise Partner” and currently serves in Central’s Alfred A. Benesch Elementary and East Tech High School, supporting the initiative’s goals to benefit youth and children, and transform the community.
