Mid-Year results show City Year Chicago is On-Track to Succeed in 2014-2015!
While the 2014-2015 academic year is not yet over, City Year Chicago has an idea of the impact that 206 AmeriCorps members are having in their 21 partner schools. Mid-year data shows that City Year Chicago is on-track to meet their performance measures by the close of the academic year.
City Year Chicago’s End of Year Attendance Goal is to have25% of students move from below 90% Average Daily Attendance (ADA) to 90% ADA or higher by the end of year.
As of midyear, 36% of students moved from having an Average Daily Attendance of below 90% to at or above 90%.
The End of Year Behavior Goal is to have 50% of students improve in social-emotional skills from start to end of year.
As of midyear, 29% of students improved in social-emotional skills.
City Year Chicago’s End of Year Course Performance Goal is to have 40% of students who begin the year with off-track grades of D or F in Math or English/Langiage Arts to improve by earning grades of C or higher by the end of the year.
As of midyear, 32% of students moved from a D or F to a C or higher in English/Language Arts and 48% of students moved from a D or F to a C or higher in math.
