The Red Jacket Society is a community of philanthropic individuals and families who believe in the power of the red jacket. Red Jacket Society members donate $10,000 or more annually and receive special invitations to local and national events, personalized updates from an AmeriCorps member, volunteer opportunities, and much more. The City Year Boston Seven Generations Board is a volunteer group of motivated citizens of Greater Boston, who are committed to supporting and promoting City Year Boston and its corps members, as well as national service as a whole. Members serve as beacons in the Boston community who “shine a light” by being advocates and champions for citizen service and equity in education. Members gather once a year for an annual meeting, and plug in to various volunteer and social events throughout the year, all designed around supporting the service of our City Year AmeriCorps members.
The Women's Leadership Network (WLN) is a new giving society for women leaders in Boston who make an annual contribution of $1,000 or more. Members are invited to City Year’s community and service events as well as exclusive WLN-only events, which provide opportunities for members to network with each other and connect with City Year Boston's work in a variety of ways. The Ambassador Circle is a volunteer group of socially conscious and motivated young professionals who are committed to advancing the mission and values of City Year. Members will have the opportunity to connect with peers, engage in meaningful volunteer opportunities, and develop leadership skills, while making a positive impact on our community and the students of Boston. Exclusive engagement opportunities include access to special events, networking opportunities with City Year Board leadership, school-based volunteer projects, and professional development programming.
Alumni: Are you an alumni community member looking to build your "leadership after City Year?" Start by updating your profile to receive timely updates on corps happenings and invitation to events and alumni-specific initiatives. Boston Marathon: Please contact us if you would like to join our John Hancock Nonprofit Program Boston Marathon team to run the Boston Marathon while supporting student success and City Year's AmeriCorps members.
City Year Boston hosts several fundraising events throughout the year: breakfasts, receptions, and our annual Starry Night Gala in May. These events include dynamic corps member speakers who share moving stories about their service with students in schools.
