City Year Boston’s Starry Night gala lights up the night on May 24

700 guests will celebrate the young leaders and bright futures powered by City Year’s service 

 

BOSTON, Mass. (March 26, 2018) — More than 700 community champions will gather at the Westin Waterfront Hotel on Thursday, May 24th for Starry Night, a luminous evening celebrating City Year Boston. With a theme of “Illuminate”, the education nonprofit’s annual gala will highlight City Year’s young, diverse AmeriCorps members and their work helping Boston students to pursue bright futures. Guests, including leaders from top local companies and the Boston Public Schools, will be treated to a cocktail reception, seated dinner and program, and dancing.

WHO: Bain Capital and City Year

The presenting sponsor of City Year Boston’s gala is Bain Capital. In Boston, Bain Capital sponsors two City Year teams, one at the Blackstone Innovation School in the South End and another at the Henry Grew Elementary School in Hyde Park. Since City Year’s inception, Bain Capital and its employees have supported the organization with more than $40 million in financial contributions and thousands of volunteer hours by the firm’s employees.
