City Year Greater Boston’s MLK Day of Service
Join City Year Greater Boston for a day of service and learning to honor Dr. King’s legacy.
Join City Year Greater Boston for a day of service and learning to honor Dr. King’s legacy. The day will begin with service projects designed to beautify and provide resources for the Mildred Avenue K-8 School. Service projects will include beautification projects such as murals and painting, along with creating resource kits and items for students and teachers. We will then gather for a discussion exploring the importance of addressing educational disparities for historically oppressed communities and include time for reflection on Dr. King’s legacy, and further information about City Year’s work.
See below for our schedule of events:
9:00am -12pm: Service Projects
12:00pm -12:30pm: Lunch
12:30pm -1:30pm: Education Session & Discussion
Please note that in line with CDC guidelines, we will be requiring guests to wear masks while the Suffolk County COVID-19 Community Transmission level remains at High. We will be monitoring the transmission level closely and provide updates as needed.
